PVC Pipes and Conduit

Pipes account for the major use of PVC in Australia. They have a long life, between 5 and 100 years, often never being removed.

PVC pipe is a product of modern technology, offering reliable and durable service to a variety of users including contractors, engineers, operators, industries, utilities and irrigation districts. A number of performance advantages means PVC Pipes now replaces many traditional materials.

PVC has very good chemical resistance, and pipes can be used above or below ground for the transport of many substances including oil, drinking water and gas.

In the telecommunications industry, PVC pipes are used as ducting (conduit) to carry cables and wiring.

Competitive in terms of cost, ease of installation and maintenance, PVC pipes are corrosion and abrasion resistant, lightweight and have excellent hydraulic efficiency, and are poor conductors of heat and sound.
